"The Day the Music Died" plane crash took place 50 years ago last week. I can only imagine what it must have been like to hear this music for the 1st time back then! I would have been instantly hooked.

Oh gosh, I was 15 almost 16 and his death was so personal because he was one of "us".
Listen to his music especially Peggy Sue and look at the drummer. I went with a boy who had a hair do just like that! Steve Paschall. swwoon.....
There's lots of guys in my year book with glasses like Buddy's, Joe O'Hearn, another swoon.
